I am thrilled to share with you that my paper, “Part-of-Speech Tagging for Northern Kurdish” has been accepted for the Joint Workshop on Multiword Expressions and Universal Dependencies (MWE-UD 2024). This workshop will be held on 25 May 2024 in Torino, Italy and it is colocated with LREC-COLING 2024.

The paper is a short version of my master’s thesis, which I defended on 10 November. My thesis can be accessed and read on ResearchGate. My master’s thesis supervisors Sina Ahmadi and Lorenzo Gatti are co-authors of the accepted paper.

The code and datasets I used for the thesis and the paper will soon be published on GitHub to make sure everyone can use it. After presenting my paper, I will make a series of posts on my blog about the topic of Part-of-Speech tagging. In addition, I will focus on writing about the linguistic features of Northern Kurdish.  Basically, it’s a summary of my thesis in the form of blog posts!  So, stay tuned 🙂
